Hello Alicia,

It is accurate of me to say that you draw a distinction between blaming 
white racists and confronting them? I could interpret what you say to 
mean that I (white racist) can act with impunity and you only need rise 
above my abuse of social and economic power, and my taking advantage of 
my skin color. From this and other thoughts you write and share, I 
don't 
think that is what you are saying. Correct?

I've used a phrase for many years..."People don't always do what they 
should, but more often than not they do what they can, and what they 
can 
do is what they know how to do". This is not an excuse for bad 
behavior, 
but an insight into where changes can be made, and the energy and 
support needed to make them. Is that in line with your thinking?
